About CVJS

A Description of The Chagrin Valley Job Seekers - CVJS is a volunteer organization in northeast Ohio with the sole mission / purpose of providing professionals in career transition with job search training, networking contacts, job leads, keynote speakers, resources, and knowledge to enhance their job search. The group was started in April 2002 by the current 2 leaders. Since its inception, over 5,300 job seekers have been helped and there are 50-75 people at each meeting.

To Become a Member- You need to be a job seeker, attend our meetings, and officially register with CVJS at a meeting. - - - We have this policy to encourage job seekers to get out of the house and meet other people. We believe the 3 most important things in the job search are networking, networking, and networking (face-to-face).

Cost - It's all free. CVJS is an entirely volunteer organization.

When We Meet - At 7:30 PM on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, unless it happens to be a national holiday or the 4th Monday in December. (In 10 years, we canceled a meeting only once and that was due to severe weather. Check this web site in case a future meeting is canceled.) - - - The general meeting lasts until about 8:45 PM. After that, an orientation meeting is held for first-timers, while other members network with each other. All are adjourned about 9:15 PM.

Where We Meet - At the Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church, 35100 Solon Road, Solon, Ohio. Here's a map.
